Our Newest Baby

August 17th, 2008 -- Posted in General | 1 Comment »

Maggie arrived yesterday, at ~ 10:30 a.m., measuring just 7 km, and an estimated 500 lbs. Her tank was mostly full, she was shiny and clean, and the mechanic said she was ready to go. I brought her home the long way, and took her out again a couple of times today, and she’s doing better and better. She had a good night last night with Lucy. We’re really looking forward to a lifetime of adventures.

Newfoundland is fantastic! Some highlights include, whale breeching, whale watching, puffins, moose, jigs dinner, cod tongue (not my highlight - Doug’s), live music, George Street Festival, cardboard box boat races, the regatta day sale, chilling with Dena and her family, the ocean, lighthouses, great views, fog, rain, sun (all in one day).

Rumours

Well, the Bath and Body Works is slowly coming along in Stone Road Mall. On the facebook site it says that it should be open by Sept. 2… do I believe those rumours? I limited myself to a $10 purchase when I was in the States last week…

It’s August? Crazy! I think I have done a good job of filling my time up in July… I visited lots of friends, went on a few road trips, and spent lots of time outdoors. August looks to be promising as well!
