I’m sure we are the object of some people’s pet peeve… but we can’t help it (as far as we know). Our new car has incredibly bright lights and people are often flashing us to let us know our high beams are on… which they aren’t. Should we get our lights dimmed some how or just let it be??
Forgot that Easter Saturday is a super crazy shopping day! Oops!
It’s kind of been a blah week/month of news. It seems that many around me are experiencing horrible loss. Someone lost their 15 year old to leukemia, another lost their neighbour to an exlposion at work, a friends relative had a stroke, someone lost their grandmother … just reminds you of how precious life is. That’s all.
*sigh* March Break is over. But I now have pants and shoes… and I visited a land without snow!
… to me! I got the day off for my birthday this year and am excited it falls on a weekend for the next two years! I started my day with a 2 hour massage… that is the perfect way to start a birthday… except maybe breakfast at Cora’s. I met Kara-Lynn at Starbuck’s - which was supposed to have a re-grand opening party but yeah, they were delayed. They did offer free coffee and scones though (but I don’t drink coffee that doesn’t taste like dessert). Oh, while we in Chapter’s I saw Robert Munsch looking around! Very cool! We headed over to East Side’s for lunch… got free dessert… did a little shopping… came back to my place and we baked BIG cookies. For dinner, I met up with friends at Moxie’s for dinner and got another free dessert! Yumm. For post birthday celebrations today, I ate a big cookie for breakfast and birthday cake (treatsa pizza) for lunch! I think I will dive into those chocolates for dinner! I am off to Michigan tomorrow for my annual birthday shopping trip!
Had the privilege of being at the front of a long line and having my VISA declined. How nice. VISA messed up my new card by putting Doug’s name on both cards….so the card I was carrying had expired I guess! Oops! But such a great feeling to hear, “Your card was declined… want me to try again??”
On Thursday I was almost finished my book only to discover it was missing pages!! So on our way through Stratford yesterday, I stopped in at the bookstore and they offered to exchange it for me even though I hadn’t bought it there! How nice! So I was able to finish that book while I was away. Oh, yesterday we headed to Stratford to shop for a bit and then headed to St. Mary’s for the night. We stayed at a local B&B and had dinner at a nice buffet! Yumm. On our way back today we did 10 geocaches. Anyway, it was nice to get out of the house!!!
