I have had a chest cold since about Friday night…. anyway, last night Doug comes home from hockey at around 11:30 to find me in a much worse state then when he left! I had woken up coughing pretty badly and then got the chills… and was a little coma toast from the cough stuff and yeah.. wasn’t pretty. Anyway, he warmed up some hot chocolate milk for me, wrapped me in blankets, gave up the bed, and hunted down my movies to watch in case I couldn’t sleep. Well, luckily it all worked and I slept well.. but I didn’t wake up until 10:30!

So I spent a half hour on the phone this morning with our benefits company. I get 12 massages a year with my company and knew that I had used them up so sent my new receipts to Doug’s company. Anyway, my receipts didn’t get processed. So I called to double check that I had used my amount and I had. Anyway… my company is now the SAME company as Doug’s but somehow they can’t process them together. So I am supposed to get a letter from the MY company (same one) then mail it to Doug’s (same company) because they can’t seem to manage to do this on their own…. weird.

Jenn’s gone for the weekend so I’m eating venison, working a 19 1/2 hour day (Friday), and going motorcycling.

Just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. We had my brother for most of the weekend and hit the pumpkin patch yesterday. We managed to squeeze in a wagon ride between downpours and picked up a few pumpkins for the porch. I think Doug and I are headed back next weekend to do the maze - I don’t think I’m brave enough to do it in the dark! We were in charge of making dinner today! I think we did okay - we’ll know better tomorrow when we get the illness report!!
